About Lina

I am a registered Counsellor with extensive mental health experience working with children and young people in schools and non-profit settings. I have also worked with women in alcohol and other drug and family and domestic violence organisations. I am passionate about supporting children and parents/carers to feel confident, connected and worthy of love and belonging.

I have always loved helping people and been fascinated by the mind, and so thought that I wanted to become a doctor (but fainted in observations!). After studying neuroscience, I realised that I wanted to work more directly with people, not rodents in the lab. After some life detours I finally found my passion working with children.

Outside of work I can usually be found in or around the ocean, be it surfing, fishing or lap swimming with friends and my partner.

Office is light-filled with many plants. A child's blanket fort with cushions is in the centre of the room.

Therapy approach

My counselling approach with you and your child is warm, collaborative, and focused on your unique goals and strengths. I am trained in and use play-based, mindfulness-based, Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focused and creative arts modalities in my work. I have undertaken further training in trauma and my approach is trauma-informed.
